The Beer

The Queens Head has had only four landlords since the second World War. Your current friendly landlord is named Pete Jones, and he has been in residence since 1983.

The pub has been a regular in Camra's "Good Beer Guide" for years, even over three changes of brewery (Courage, Morlands and Greene King). Something that Pete takes great pride in. It is a testimony to the very high standard of beer served.

In 1999 the Queens head helped to promote the first ever Eynsham beer festival, where beers from all over the country were available to taste and enjoy. This great event was repeated in August 2000, and was a most excellent success.

And the cellar ... A dark cool place, hidden directly behind the bar.
The only way to get into this space is down two flights of rickety old
wooden steps. Well below ground, this cellar helps to stabilise and
maintain the correct beer temperature.
